Nail Technician

Silky Salon is looking for a customer friendly Nail Technician! We offer flexible work, great work environment, and established clientele!

Status: Nonexempt; Full-time and part-time positions.

Nail Technician Responsibilities:

• Providing high-quality manicures and pedicures, which includes removing old nail polish from fingernails and toenails, cleaning nails, shaping the ends of nails, pushing back cuticles, and applying new polish based on clients’ preferences.
• Applying artificial nails.
• Recommending various nail designs and nail art to clients.
• Evaluating the condition of clients’ nails and advising them on proper nail care and suitable nail care treatments.
• Sanitizing all nail instruments and equipment before each use.
• Clean and disinfect their work area and tools
• Ensuring that nail and massage supplies are adequately stocked.
• Providing quality hand and foot massages.
• Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Requirements:

• Previous manicure and pedicure experience, or retail experience.
• Must be punctual and professional with good customer service skills.
• Exhibit learning attitude and foster a positive working relationship.

Physical Demands:

• While performing duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, use hand to write, talk, hear, see, smell, type on keyboard.
• Perform the duties of a nail technician which requires standing, pushing, pulling, and manual dexterity.

Hair Stylist Responsibilities:

• Consult with clients to achieve and deliver their desired cut, color and style.
• Recommend and utilize proper treatments, color and other products to meet client specific needs.
• Apply a variety of coloring techniques such as highlights and balayage.
• Build knowledge of retail products to make appropriate recommendations to clients.
• Ensure sterilization and cleanliness of beauty stations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Requirements:

• Previous hairstylist, barbers and/or cosmetologist experience, or retail experience.
